This was the image ive got when i cut off two small plastic pieces of the data cable😂

Come on, 605B is MIB1 display with resolution of 400x240 pixels, you cannot have it replaced with MIB2 display that has resolution of 800x480 without replacing glove box unit.

If you replace the glovebox unit with a MIB2 one to be compatible with the new screen you will also have to get CP removed and have the FEC codes restored otherwise some features you have now won't work.

Thx so mutch, then i need this unit + codes restored?

Will i be able to use my old screen with smartlink if i change the usb plug? Or is it the screen that is not open for smart link?

1000 times thx for help :)

.What @PetrolDave wrote is not entirely truth. The way described will not allow you to use any features that are not supported currently, e.g. SmartLink. To have new features enabled you must have MIB2 unit hacked. If you are intrested in getting such unit, in P&P version, pls contact me on PM.

Old screen - old unit. Both MIB1, No SmartLink.

New screen - new unit, e.g. the one you listed (5Q0035842C). Both MIB2. SmartLink possible only if unit is hacked.

No wonder this is confusing :D

So to cleryfy: 5E0919605B needs 5Q0035842C to work after coding, but still it would not have smart link etc without this "hack". And new usb aswell maybe?

Do I understand this correct? Sorry, but new happy skoda owner ;)

Yes i will Pm you when i understand thi, i do only got the glass screen at the moment.

Thx mr :)

NO!!!!

5E0919605B is MIB1 display unit and it will NEVER work with any MIB2 glove box unit which 5Q0035842C is.

If you want to use SmartLink you must replace both glove box unit, e.g. to 5Q0035842C, and display unit, e.g. to 5E0919605N. Glove box unit must be hacked.

Is it cleared now?
