Towing - Superb 280 4x4 ?

Featured Replies

Hi  - does anyone tow a caravan with a 280 ?

we are planning on getting a caravan, and unsure wether to fit it with a tow bar ?

Cheers

Until we sold the caravan in March I towed a 1350kg single axle about 15,000 miles (not all in one go...) And it was trouble free.

Average mpg whilst towing was 22 to 23 and I specced my car with the factory fit towbar.

Cheers - I would need to get a towbar fitted - I imagined it would be a decent tow car, but reliability always a worry

I tow a 4 birth caravan and get 21 to 22 mpg, but then again mines remapped.

It's a great towing machine.

Only issue might be the co$t of the factory towbar AU$2k+ 😳

Yes the cost is something I will need to check - but I probably wont go factory fit, plenty of good towbars and fitters around

Oemvwshop have the Skoda genuine wiring for less than the dealer pricing if you do decide to go that route
