I think i know why they are denying me the rims, the problem is the suspension, i have Pr code L17 , can anyone pkease confirm me this ?

@Camarao69What do you mean with 'denying you the rims',

are you just asking them if you can fit them or trying to buy them from a Skoda Dealership?

If they are allowed in your country and your insurer will cover you with them fitted just buy them.

If your laws / legislation does not allow them then do not.

It is not as though the 19"rims  with appropriate tyres do not fit on your car.

If the car has not been homologated for use with 19” rims, then you may not be able to legally fit them.

This seems to be the case in Portugal, which is presumably why the tyre pressures in fuel filler only show 16 and 17

The rules are country specific, and might be due to vehicle tax reasons, in same way Ireland seems to get different engines and specs from UK

I am able to homologate them outside the dealer , there is a company that has engineers to test and aprove the wheels, it is called LTA  i think i will have to go that rout.

The dealer is denying  to homolgate them , they say my car is not prepared to fit them.

Have they asked it? ;)

Your country is an EU member  and held the Presidency till June this year, you simply need to apply for the EU certificate of conformity using the link that I supplied you, this will list all the wheel and tyre sizes that the vehicle is homologated for, these are valid for all EU countries.

However if you wish to line the pockets of a company that is going to do just that whilst claiming that they are "homologating" the wheels that you wish to fit then go ahead, knock yourself out!

The PR code on mine (factory DCC with 19s) is L06.

"L06: Suspension range 06 installation control only, no requirement forecast"

Other relevant PR codes:-

G04: Shock absorption in front

1JP: Rear shock absorption

V30: Alloy wheels 8J x 19
