Hi, I have a problem with one of the outer Vari flex seats, it will not release from the floor when I lift the release handle!

I have looked at the other side and the release catches are on the inside of the mechanism and I can see no way of getting to them!

Anyone had the same trouble ? and how did you fix it, much obliged if you can help.

Assuming the vari-flex seats in Karoqs are similar to those in Roomsters and Yetis, they will not release unless the seats are in the fully rearward position.  On one of my Roomsters, I had to sit in the seat and shuffle it hard back in order to get it to go fully rearward.

Looked like it was fully back! but did as you said and slammed it back a few times and that did it.

Thanks for this, just got my Variflex seat to fold for the first time in 3 years 😃
