Removal of Adblue tank to allow installation of towbar

Featured Replies

It appears to me that it is necessary to remove the Adblue tank to allow installaiton of the bolts for a towbar.  Are there instrucitons on how to do this?

😵 First time I read this.

I've read a tow bar retrofit thread on a French forum, the author didn't mention that (Note: it was on a TDI too).

Not all diesels have AdBlue. My 2017 2.0 TDi (150bhp) doesn’t.

This may be country-dependant. My french 2017 TDI190 does. 🤔

From memory ad-blu was phased in depending on engine

I suspect the 190 had higher emission than 150 so was done earlier, as the rules tightened up

Thank you all for your responses, but my Skoda DOES have an adblue tank and I would like instructions on how to remove it without dammaging the input and output pipes.  Does anyone know or have the description from the appropriate service manual.

Thanks

You can download all workshops manuals for free on cardiagn.com. ;)

Hi Bap33, I have been trying all sorts of things (going via VPN and turning off all addblocking, but cardiagn.com still is blockining me.  Would you do me a huge favour and download the skoda superb manuals and send -'em to me or put them on a Onedrive site or some such thing, I'm absolutely tearing what little there is left of my hair trying to make this connection work.  Frustratingly the site now flashes up the list of manuals before immediately overwriting this with a message saying I have addblocker set up (which I dont)

Some sites are able to recognise that you are using a VPN.

Why not try turning it off to see?

@pwb Oh yes, sometimes, this website is capricious. Just try using another web browser or... try later. ;)

Tried that, thats when I got the

Seems I can get the 503 bannde URL (without VPN) or the "It Looks Like You Have AdBlocker Enabled." with.

Tried chrome, Edge with and without incognito mode.  Looks like the site has it in for me 😞

Still complaining abut addblocker.  Not sure how to progress.  Any ideas?

Try connecting on a mobile?

Well I finally got to transfer some of the manuals (some unavailable) but unhappily none seem to specify how to remove the adblue tank, thanks all for your help.
