Dutch Grey MK3 vRS 245 Combi

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a little thread as I change bits and pieces on the car. Bought this 2018 model with 28,500km on the clock. Came from a Revo stage 1 S3 so I'll be looking at boosting power pretty soon as well.

Have had it 2 weeks and have the following done so far:

New Emblems front and rear

Black vrs badge( front off new one to be glued on)

Revo full carbon intake including hose and turbo intake

New vrs centre caps

Footrest to match pedals

Rear vrs rubber boot mat

Next up windows tinting. Also car needs a full decon and ceramic coating but need the weather to be right for 2 days to get it done as I've no garage in NL

It looks well. That is a cool idea about matching the foot rest with the pedals. I never taught of it. Must look into it as mine is manual version.

Yeah I couldn't believe that Skoda made it an optional extra on the car. Not too bad to fit it though just some trim to be pulled off and it pops in nicely

So a little update. Had the windows tinted all round with a ceramic nano film by Langeveld Automotive in Nijmegen. Absolutely fantastic job and well worth the cash. Also got a Racingline stage 1 map and DSG map done by Coordsport. Really transforms the car. Next up is a bit of sound deadening in the boot, lowering and new wheels.

Where did you get the badges from?

Badges are from Kopacek (Superskoda). Not cheap but well worth the cash for them

Do you have the part number for the footrest?

I don't actually. I ordered it from Kopaček. They'll probably quote the part number though

Looks great! How do you find the Racingline map and DSG map compared to the Revo S3 map? I appreciate they are different cars. I'm looking at the same Racingline map and DSG map, I think any of the big brands are a solid choice for maps really.

Liking the debadged rear too! Seen a few and it cleans up the rear end nicely.

They are actually both great maps. Power delivery is excellent and with decent tyres (Michelin PS4s) the front end stays pretty much in check. The upside of the Racingline map is that if you pay for it now you can go to stage 2 and 3 for no extra cost. Just the hardware cost. Obviously the S3 was a different animal with the Quattro but I have the VAQ diff in mine as it's the 245 version so it does help a little bit. I've also turned it up to the extra traction mode as well through OBD 11. Must get some more pics of the car as it sits on Racingline R360 wheels and I'll be lowering it too soon. Probably on ST springs as they seem to get a good rating from the Octavia guys in Europe.

A little picture after a wash, decontamination and auto finesse Desire wax.

Thats good to know. I can't see going further than stage 1 but it's nice to have options.

Car looks fantastic, I think the Racingline wheels suit it massively.
