Night time brightness

Have any of you noticed as it gets dark , so does the dash. In twilight i see it flickering, then at night its quite dim. I quite enjoy the brightness but cant seem to change the dimming at night . Setting the brightness does nowt!

You used to be able to have it bright all the time in my 67 plate Superb.

I’ve recently had a completely different experience. I’m finding that the navigation maps are not auto dimming at night, a few weeks ago they would turn into a night mode.
 

It certainly leaves a bright (and for me, a distracting) display. Maybe this would be more preferable to you? Though it has just happened so I couldn’t explain how!? As an aside if anyone has an idea to revert to auto-dimming please let me know!

There is an auto setting in the menu. But it looks like it depends on the driving mode selected.
