Night time brightness

Featured Replies

Have any of you noticed as it gets dark , so does the dash. In twilight i see it flickering, then at night its quite dim. I quite enjoy the brightness but cant seem to change the dimming at night . Setting the brightness does nowt!

You used to be able to have it bright all the time in my 67 plate Superb.

VAG stop making choices for me.

I’ve recently had a completely different experience. I’m finding that the navigation maps are not auto dimming at night, a few weeks ago they would turn into a night mode.

It certainly leaves a bright (and for me, a distracting) display. Maybe this would be more preferable to you? 54CDE17A-E1E2-40ED-9958-43EAC97EFC15.thumb.jpeg.f58549d3f752df639413cb430b24f6ea.jpegThough it has just happened so I couldn’t explain how!? As an aside if anyone has an idea to revert to auto-dimming please let me know!

There is an auto setting in the menu. But it looks like it depends on the driving mode selected.

You can check the manual where to change it.

SOLVED!!

I've recently encountered the same issue, quite frankly it was driving me mad and couldn’t figure it out through any of the settings.

Resolution; turns out the solution is in the Nav Screen options. Select nav on the entertainment home screen, on the map view select the 3 dots in bottom left corner as per below image…

Then change the setting to auto (mine was somehow on “day” setting. Dash/instrument cluster will now change with auto lights sensor.
