Fabia mk1 seat alternatives

Featured Replies

Fabia mk1 estate LHD

front drivers seat is very worn, looking for alternatives, trying to work out what fits, and looking what’s available...

Are the rear seats the same on the estate as the hatchback?

Do the front seats from another model bolt straight in?

The LH seat is height adjustable, as it’s LHD. Can the seat cushion be transferred from the non height adjustable seat to the height adjustable seat?

Any advice gratefully accepted.

I'd reckon you could swap the seat cushions between the seats, from when I did my passat seats the cushions for both sides looked identical. Bottoms arent hard to swap out. Seat backs are a pita.

Plenty of people have put in seats from ibizas and polos of the same generation.

Mk2 fabia seats would fit also.

Seats are the same between hatch, saloon, and estate. You could swap a vRS interior into your current car, if you do so wish.

Mk3 6L Seat Ibiza, Mk2 Fabia, 9N Mk4 Polo, and possibly some others that I've missed. Things from the likes of a VW Golf and Skoda Octavia and so forth will need some modification since they use different runners.

The seat cushions should be the same for either side. I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge will be able to confirm how you'd go about doing that etc.

That’s brilliant- thank you very much. Helps me out greatly.

The car is an ex heavy smokers car, and having driven it the last few days, I’d really like to change the whole interior, and knowing I can fit a mk1  interior helps me out a lot. (I quite fancy a VRS interior too....)

big thanks...
