Finally took delivery of my car in September (got it held for a few weeks so it had a nice 72 reg) but I forgot to upload any photos.

WOOHOOOO!!! Finally, man!!! So happy for you! 😁 How are you liking it so far? 🙂

Thank you.  I've not really had a chance to really test everything out yet as the car arrived with three fairly minor faults which I wanted to resolve with the supplier first - one I can fix if they pay for the parts, one I can sort anyway and a tiny stone chip in the painted plastic that's barely visible I can live with ok.  One thing I am very happy with is when I got some valuations done (I know maybe a bit weird but I wondered how much the loss of driving it out of the showroom so to speak was) I found much to my amusement that I would actually despite buying a new car not lose but make money, if I sold now at least I would be making about £1000+!! that's better than a savings account in a bank.  How's your car working out for you, I hope you've not had any issues?

Yeah, I didn't try to figure out how much my Scala would be worth if I sold it right away, but used Scalas in Croatia go for between 25k and 14k EUR, so it's not too bad.

So far, my Scala has been running smoothly, however I have noticed a somewhat odd sound when the car shifts into 2-cylinder mode. According to what I've read online, it should be normal.

Great to see your Scala finally arrived. It really took a while.

Hi Folks, my Mrs has just ordered a Scala Monte Carlo 1.0 110bhp as a company car. They have advised a 19 week lead time, is this realistic with the Scala ?

I have had an Octavia VRS Tdi estate on order since December 21 and they have just advised that it will likely be March 23 delivery!

I waited just over a year for my Scala! so.. but others have had their cars much sooner, it depends what options you spec'd as relatively standard cars may well be available from stock but otherwise you're having to wait through the whole building and shipping process.

  • 2 weeks later...

I placed an order late january and still waiting for any status progress 😕 . 1.0 style dsg.

I've ordered a 1.0 SE Technology on 26 September 2022 which is showing as 16 week factory order on some lease websites, they have told me it will be delivered in March when my current lease expires.

Last update was "awaiting a build week at the factory"

Hi there !

I've ordered a Scala Style 1.5 DSG with few options mid-August 2022, and... still not here.

Mid-October, production was planned mid-November (perfect!) but, in November, new change: production was planned mid-December. And, as a good joke, guess what: today I learnt that is now reported to mid-January... I am wondering if the production of semiconductors is worsening. Would anyone have any information?

Or did anyone has recently been delivered, and how about the last delays?

Last but not least, owners, how do you like your Scala?

Cheers

Yeah, it could be a while before it arrives. I've ordered my Scala in September 2021 and it arrived in March 2022. That was pre-war, but in the midst of the semiconductor crisis.

I had to bug my dealer about the delivery situation, and I suggest you do the same.

When it comes to the car itself, I'm loving it so far!

Good luck and report back!

We ordered the Mrs a 1.0dsg Monte Carlo in Sept and was advised 19 weeks. I will believe it when I see it as I ordered a Octavia VRS in Dec 21 and was advised May 22. I’m still waiting with no news.

The dealer also advised 19 weeks on my side.

Once more, he looks totally overwhelmed by customers calls asking for update. It seems their updates on the Skoda intranet system don’t say much, and are not really reliable. A few days ago, in the morning, they find out 15 octavia on lorries delivered in one shot on their parking space… funny fact: nothing appeared on their screen.

Anyway, let’s rather count on a minimum average of 6 months for the Scala then…

And yes, report back!

I ordered my 1.5TSI manual late July this year and did not hear anything until last week when an email from Skoda told me the thing was built and had left the factory. I expect that yours will be completed about Christmas time or January. The dealer was quite honest about the delays and, at the time of signing the order contract, said that delivery to me would be in late January. So far then they are keeping to, or are slightly ahead of, the schedule.

John

It is 10 weeks since I ordered my Scala and it is still awaiting a build week.

It is a 1.0 SE Technology with no options in factory (energy) blue.

Well I ordered mine in late July 2021 and still don't have it, its currently waiting at the port of exit in Germany, its likely to be early Jan when I get it.  So 18 months! Good luck everyone else!

Collect my Scala, ordered in July 2022 today, Hope the snow doesn't come back!

@John2022: You are lucky!

Which pack is your Scala, any options?

It’s a 1.5 Manual box in SE trim. Only options were metallic paint and a reversible boot mat. Just driven it home - It’s good!

Regards John

A photo of the Scala, it was too cold and windy to take any more!
