The Manual 110 SEL I ordered in mid August with options of Front Sensors, Rear view camera, ACC, Heated seats and steering wheel, USB-C by rear view mirror, and Blind Spot Detection is to be built this week. I am sure the dealer said it would be another 3 weeks until it arrives at the Dealership and I can pick it up. What is everyone  experience on this timescale was it about 3 weeks for you ?

Finishing the cars that are built and stored waiting for chips before more are built.

There are members that ordered months ago with possible delivery dates in early 2022, now even Summer 2022.

 

Best you speak again to your dealership, but maybe fingers crossed you will e lucky.

Have you done anything to check progress on your car? When were you told the build week? I know that there has been a pause in commencement of new builds to try to get more cars completed and delivered.

 

Our Karoq was odered in May and we were originally told 12-15 weeks. Build week was 28 or 29, mid July (can't remember which) and, as far as I know was started on time. However, due to the chip shortage, it was stored awaiting completion. About 2 weeks ago  I was told it was at Emden avaiting a ship. I've been watching ships from Emden to Grimsby and Sheerness, and I hope it arrived there this weekend. From there it's transported to your dealer. At present, apparently, the car storage is empty and transportation is quick. So i'm hoping that it will be at the dealer early this week and available the week after next. If that is correct that is 22 weeks. And from what I've read that is quite quick.

 

You couild try the chat function on the Skoda website. They have been helpful, but I tried on Friday and their system 'was down' so they couldn't tell me anything. I'm told dealers have access to more info. 

 

If my build is normal, and you ordered mid August, unfotunately it could be mid January or later. 

Sorry to say but I am affraid that your Kamiq won't be ready this year (I'll be surprised if that happens). I have ordered my Kamiq on 26th of March. Initial production date was exptected on week 26, than it was postponed on 34 week and at the moment my car is stored on the side and waiting for remaining components. Spoke with my dealer last week and it looks like there is a big chance that it will be delivered by the end of October.

IF your Kamiq is being built allready, i would suggest you play the lottery often as you are a very lucky man

Just received a call from my dealer and got confirmed that my Kamiq is ready and on the way to the dealership. Only 7 months of waiting and it is ready 🥳 🤦‍♂️

Congrats man i hope it is complete with all your options and without any issues to start your journeys!!    Don't forget to ask them to check that everything is updated so you wont have that hassle afterwards 😛

Need to grab the order number so I can find out the status but based on the dealers updates I’m assuming it’s still not built (or at-least not complete).

 

I’d be amazed if it arrives before March to be honest!

On other Polish Skoda forum seems like orders for Kamiq from begining of May are being slowly delivered as I am writing this post. I think there is a big chance that you will get yours soon!

What worries me is that i see mostly octavia's delivered and sometimes Kamiq but  Scala car's almost silence. I hope they are completing them too and are not put last on the production scedule 😕

If you look at the first 6 months 2021 then you will see that Scalla,s delivered were 1/5th of Octavia's, then just a bit more than 1/3rd of Kamiqs.   They were twice the amount of Enyaqs as the Enyaqs were starting to be produced.   Scala deliveries might well be low if the demand so orders are low.

Looking at the How Many Left site suggests that by the end of June 2021 there were around 6000 Scala's registered in the UK. By contrast the Kamiq has been around a shorter time and has around double the number.

 

I think we read somewhere that they are built on the same line, so it's probably just not as popular.

Yeah my dealer said when ordering a new car that the scala would not have the delay issue like the octavia, kamiq, karoq, kodiaq. But it turns out it does and maybe even worse because it is not ordered that much 😕

Well my Kamiq is now in Sheerness and hit and miss if I will get it before or after Christmas and New Year. Depends if We buy Any Car or Cazzoo are closed for a week as I'm selling my trade in to them for a lot more than my trade in price given at time of order in mid August.
