Valve cover removal

Featured Replies

Hi, I know this may be a tedious and obvious question, if so I apologize...

Anyway, it's da** cold outside here in Denmark right now, and I'd like to get the task at hand done asap, so here goes:

My cyl.1 and 4 spark plugs and caps are being covered in oil, so it obviously runs quite poorly on these cylinders. As far as I can see, it's the valve cover gasket which is leaking (or, that's my best guess, anyway).

So, I have a new set at hand, but several components - mainly the injection parts - need to be removed in order to remove the cover itself. Thus, if there's a kind and helpful guy here who don't mind wasting his time with obvious questions like these 😄 I hope that guy can tell me how to get to the valve cover without disassembling more than absolutely necessary?

Thanks in advance,

Bruno

Hi Phil,

Thanks a lot! In Danish and English autumn it's always best to get such jobs done soon enough, if done outdoors, ha ha 😄

I'll take a look at these pages! B-)
