Heated windscreen coming on by its own.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.  My heated windscreen keeps switching itself on.  I know this because it shows up as in use in the Maxidot display.  I can toggle it’s switch to on and off, but it still stays on - sometimes it will switch off when the Climate Control is switched on.

Anyone had this problem before?  Thanks

IIRC there's an auto on option in the climate control menu. Turns it on when it thinks the screen needs clearing

I jump on this topic, sorry.

Do you actually feel the windscreen heating up when the heat-up is ON ?

I bought my 2nd hand car with some minor windscreen damage and I'm not sure if the heating cable are fine or not ... There is not fault coming.

There is a setting which auto switches on the heated screen in the heater menu.

Thank you all for your input.  It was indeed the automatic setting.😳.  I have now switched this off- thanks again.

First frosts this weekend, the heated-windscreen works :)

Ignore
