Just got my renewal in from Tescos today for my Octy I RS completely standard.

I'm 25 , Single, 1 accident no fault, No convictions

Tesco Fully comp with PNCD and LE ,

Privelege seem to be the cheapest about, ran a quote for fabia vRS (if it ever turns up ) Churchill 357, privelege 223, quite a difference.

I looked around when i re insured my vrs furbie

and found privelege to be over a 100 quid cheaper than my old insurer

yep, i'm going with privilege at the end of the month-over £150 cheaper than my current insurer elephant!

Ive got a skoda octavia vrs which is remapped to 220 bhp and has induction system Iam the age life begins at and the only company that would touch me including all the so called modified companys was Adrian Flux Ins

Cant praise them enough so if your going to mod it you better get their number or dont tell your insurance company:rolleyes:

just had a quote from chris knott insurance  more than happy with the quote :D

You guys are paying pennies for insurance. You try getting insurance in Northern Ireland. There's only a handful of companies that cover NI. Many won't give cover from a risk point of view and others say NI is a foreign country and not part of the UK:rofl:. The ignorance is unbelievable and they are leaving themselves open to legal action too. Rant over

I've not tried Chris Knott yet, however in previous years I've not managed to beat going via Motor Direct. I've even had the likes of Churchill quoting me over

Had my renewal notice from Tesco earlier this month for the vRS estate,

Looking at all your posts I realise somethings wrong here as my quotes for a non - modified Octy VRS estate 3 years old, average mileage, me mid 40's married no points no convictions no claims are all well in the

Does this seem like a good Quote from Privelege or just a bad one from Tesco?

IIRC, both are underwritten by the same company (UK Insurance Ltd I think) and they just have different target demographics. :D Was the Tesco quote a renewal or was in a new quote as there is usually quite a difference - whatever happened to rewarding brand loyalty? :(

Chris

If you have more than one car, try Admirals Multicar policy. Both our cars were with Admiral anyway and the renewal for the Octy vRS was

Pretty sure DirectLine is underwritten by UK Insurance Ltd too (at least it used to be last time I used them! ). All these insurance front-end's are owned by Royal Bank of Scotland Group :D

Although a quick look on the web sites suggests Tesco still uses UK Insurance Ltd but DirectLine now uses "Direct Line Insurance Plc".....

I guess RBSG had a shuffle around
