Water pump kit Skoda Octavia

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, not sure if this has been mentioned before. I have a Skoda Octavia 2018 1.6 TDI automatic. Need to change the water pump and timing belt. Spoke to my local Skoda dealer and they told me my car has 2 water pumps. 🤔

Is this the case? Does anyone know? I don't find any information about this anywhere. And need to buy a good after market kit for it, but all has single pump.  Thanks

One pump is driven by the timing belt and the other water pump is the auxiliary pump and that is electrically powered. You only need change the mechanical pump. You can try contacting your local TPS stores as some sell to private customers. Also try Autodoc.

Thank you for your reply 🙂 this is from my local dealer. I'm confused because he told me I need two pumps...

Don't always believe the dealer, they often get confused between the many different engines fitted to the Octavia.
