Skoda roomster scout hesitation

Featured Replies

I wonder if anyone can help. I have a roomster scout 16 td that has hesitation issues. It is fine from cold and runs without problem. Once you stop the engine and leave it for over 15 minutes it develops a hesitation fault. This happens at approx 1500 to 2000 rpm and then again at 2500 to 3000rpm then stops and if fine. When I test drove the car 4 years ago now it was fine until I picked it up and it had had the emissions mod while the the non Skoda (Suzuki )dealer did it’s used car checks. On picking up the car it started. I returned the car and it was returned the vehicle then went back to the dealer and they couldn’t find the fault. It was returned to the dealer 7 times in the 1st 6 months( 6 of those times it was sent to my local Skoda dealer. They replaced the injector loom but still no fault found. By that time I tried to return the car but they refused. Anyway the fault if happening daily now and is getting quite dangerous. Code reader comes up with no engine faults but does come up with a central locking fault which I can live with. So any ideas on the hesitation. Thanks in advance

Welcome.

A mod will move your post to the Roomster section and hopefully someone can help.

1.6 tdi engine? It's probably the start of EGR/turbo vane problems - try running premium diesel and/or a tin of your favourite turbo cleaner through the tank and taking it for an Italian Tune Up.

Will give it a go. Plugged it into the code reader this week. Still showing no faults. Thank you for the advice
