Amundsen SatNav effecting Maxidot speed display on Scout

Featured Replies

I hope you are all well.

It’s probably in the manual but buried somewhere so I would be grateful for your advice please….

Both my wife and I always use the digital speed display on the Maxidot.

We have the Amunden Entertainment System but don’t normally use the built-in SatNav function as we use a TomTom.

The other day my son, who was in the passenger seat, decided to turn on the SatNav function to see where we were whilst my wife was driving but this had the effect of also changing the Maxidot display which panicked her as she had suddenly lost the normal speed display!

I know that you can get the Maxidot speed display back via the steering wheel switches but my wife isn’t confident about doing that whilst in motion so can the SatNav system be set up to not effect the Maxidot display?

Cheers,

John

Not that i'm aware of, but simply pressing the 'back' button on the steering wheel in this scenario (where the sat nav has taken over with it's direction prompts) will revert to the previous screen, no navigation of menus or anything is needed, just a single button press.

Many thanks for that but will that still leave the Amundsen SatNav display showing?

Yes, it'll leave the Sat Nav doing it's thing on the infotainment, it'll just return the 'Maxidot' display back to it's previous screen - in your case, speed.

That’s great - much appreciated! 👍
