Service costs

Featured Replies

Hi.

Has anyone had the first (oil change) service on a PHEV?

I was charged €360 today for what is an oil and filter change, plus a verification of the car.

The bulk of the cost was oil (4 litres @€40 per litre).

would be interested to know what other people have paid.

thanks

I did an early oil change at 2000 km and it was 26.5 eur per liter. The TSI took 5.9 liters of oil.

Which oil did you put in? Sorry for the offtopic.

Oil change was done at the dealer. They are using Shell Helix Ultra Professional AV 0-20.

Mine was Castrol Pro 0w 20

VW 508 00 / 509 00 so 0w 20 FS IV is the oil used from the factory & the recommended oil and it is Long Life oil for Fixed or Variable (long Interval) Servicing.

The TSI engines in a Plug In Hybrid that VW Group have as requiring 'Fixed Oil & Filter changes, by miles or days can use VW 504 000 / 507 000, so 5w 30 or 0w 30 FS III.

Not that Dealerships are going to be saying that.

A 1st year Oil & Filter & Inspection service can be a good earner for main dealerships and really over priced considering that is the VW Group / SKoda recommendation to be on Fixed Servicing.
