Whining noise 7 speed DSG

Featured Replies

Got a whining noise off front near side at 50mph plus, replaced the wheel bearing but still doing exactly the same, anyone had this problem, car only done 40k, I guess next port of call has to be a gearbox specialist, any advise greatly appreciated.

We need more info. Model, year, 6 or 7 speed box? Does it do it in all modes, all gears? Does it do it when coasting/freewheeling? Does it go away when braking?

Title says 7 speed.

@Geordieskoda

You posted before about 1.6TDI's & DQ200 DSG's.  Is this what you have.

   So a 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG which has no Service Schedule / Recommendations or Guidelines for Servicing?

?

How many miles done?

Hi m8, it’s a 2018 1.6 7 speed, it happens in all mods and when freewheeling, goes off when you reduce speed.
