I just ordered a pair of KYB Excel rear shocks from the ebay seller below. I've not used them before, but they have a pair left at this price so I thought it would be worth sharing.

So those are OEM spec for stock height by the looks of it.

I need to order some myself, still torn between OEM spec Boge/Bilstein/KYB's. As mine is 1" lower I may need some B8 Sprints. Either way I'm bound to need new bump stops too as they frequently are knackaard!

 

Anything will be better than I have at the moment though!

New bump stops ordered - went for a pair of Meyle.

Let me know how much of an improvement this makes. I imagine it'll be quite good. I'm needing to do the same with my BME Furby too, handles like a dinghy on rough seas on most A and B roads.

I've not been in a stock suspension VRS, mine already had B8's on the front and 25-30mm Eibachs all round. As far as I can tell the rears look to be older OEM dampers, nothing aftermarket. I said to a mate the other day even with dead rear dampers my VRS handles so much better than older Fiestas I owned in the past. Speedbumps though, bleh, damn things - it doesn't like those much.

 

Still overall I still love it and it's the best car I've ever owned as a daily driver.

Aye, same here. Hit the bump stops a couple of times going over a few at least half the speed limit!
