No engine light, no start, no fuel pump noise

Featured Replies

Hi,

I own a fabia 1.4 AUB engine with 74 kw, car does not start, it does crank, no fuel pump noise, no engine light on the dash, no engine module label on the scanner. Where to look, it is a relay for fuel pump or something for ecu ?

Check the fuses for the ECU.

How's the battery?

Is the ignition key being recognised?

yes, it cranks, battery new, what fuse to check I"ve checked around 3 fuses in the interior.

Fuses 17 (5 amp) and 56 (20 amp).

I suspect fuel pump relay if both of those are OK.

What year was the car built?

2002-2003

fuel pump relay not ok, but why no engine light symbol on dash?

Maybe someone has obscured it? Do you see the warning light 'self test' as you turn the ignition on?

no one obscured it, it is mine. This is I have told, no light on self test. Engine module not recognised by VCDS, I tried jump start the fuel pump, it mades pressure, but car does not start, just cranks.

If the 20 amp fuse in position 56 has metal contacts accessible to probe while still installed, see if it has 12V on both sides of it when the ignition is switched on.

it has 12 v always.

Under dash I have 3 relays, all 3 are good, 81, 410 and 53
