Wing mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi are my wing mirrors counted as the small or large mirror housing. I was hoping to get new covers but can't source them and some idiot has again today whacked my one wing mirror destroying the cover 😕

I didn't think there was any difference in sizes, just differences in whether they are manually adjustable or electrically adjustable and heated, etc.

I thought that but I keep getting told on parts sites there is a small and a large so I'm not sure now 🤔 I don't understand  that site bud 5 different ones or am I having a blond moment lol.

All Mark 1 Fabia wing mirrors are the same size so you should probably use different parts sites.

Problem also is it appears there are 2 different connectors mine is the block connector but all im finding are the ones with the 1 strip connector.

Are you able to find mirror covers from a breakers? It would just be a matter of getting them painted from there, should they be the wrong colour.

You're actually cheaper buying a whole mirror unit rather than getting the new covers from Ireland.

Aye, I just meant that if you buy the unit then you could pinch the covers off 'em. I get that about the prices, I had a gouge in mine from a previous owner and it would have been a small fortune to get it replaced or even filled and sprayed... but I know a guy. :D

Photos don't do the original damage justice, but the paintwork is a dead ringer and it still looks good.
