ŠKODA approved used warranty query?

Featured Replies

I’m happy to have a ŠKODA warranty and I don’t want to mess that up

by adding any power upgrades. They can wait until it has run out.
however my Octavia 2.0tdi SE is close to 100k miles and I was planning to upgrade the bushes. Or at least some of them. Is it possible to do so and stay covered within the warranty?
could I used ŠKODA OE parts only or can I use powerflex (for example) bushes as an upgrade?

does it help if a ŠKODA main dealer fits the upgraded bushes?

any responses greatly appreciated

many thanks

I wouldn't have thought bushes would be an issue because unless the bush is damaged because of a manufacturer defect, then bushes generally are a wear and tear item. That being said I would speak to Skoda themselves, ask and get it put in writing if there is no issue.

Looking at the approved used warranty T&C online it states you need to get Skoda approval for any modifications to the vehicle. I suspect they will only approve mods using their parts and if a dealer fits them. The OE bushes will be covered by a 2 year parts warranty on manufacturing defects.
