Radio head unit not working properly

Featured Replies

I have recently bought a used skoda fabia mkIII which had a faulty radio when I viewed it but was replaced by the garage with a 'working' used part before buying. In now turns out that a used part cant ever work according to the skoda garage

After speaking with a skoda garage directly they suggested the only way to fix the issue is to replace the radio control unit with a new one from skoda which would cost £1300

The garage I bought the car from will not pay for this but would be willing to pay for a cheaper service that could get the current unit working correctly or give me my money back for the car. But the refund is not an option for me.

I was hoping that someone would know of a garage that can get a second hand radio working correctly or how I could do it myself.

Currently some functionality works with the radio but bluetooth will not activate and services within the smart link cant be activated even with a code from skoda

As well as any info you get from your thread here it might well be worth posting in the following thread with more details and perhaps pab567 can help you out with a fix (or even replacement?).
