Seat Cupra Fmic setup on Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Hello guys, just found a complete Fmic setup from an Ibiza Cupra for 360 euros. Can I mount that on my Fabia BLT without any hiccups? Cheers.

You'll have to chop the Fabia bumper bar or fit an Ibiza one. Minor faffing with plastics to get the brackets to fit. Possibly some issues if you have headlamp washers.

Thank you! What about the mounting bracket for the intercioler to keep it in place? The seller told me I would need that. Is it hard to be hand-made? How can it be mounted on a Fabia?

I hope I can buy them from the dealer if they aren’t included…

1 × SeatSport Left Mounting Bracket - 6LL145808C
1 × SeatSport Right Mounting Bracket - 6LL145808D
And I am good to go… The washers would have to go out :)

The seller just told me he would try to find  the brackets too…. So with the brackets included, should it be a plug and play job, apart from trimming the plastics? Will these brackets bolt on straight and hold the intercooler in place? I guess I should at least drill the holes for the screws?

Great, according to this, tge brackets will fit plug and play. Thanks a lot. I’m gonna take the Ibiza crash-bar too, not expensive and no cutting…

Guys, just to be sure… Does it matter which Ibiza crashbar to order? Are they all the same?

Usually lads drill out the Fabia crashbar using a hole saw - Might save a lot of faffing and  hassle ..!

I could be wrong in this and I'm open for correction but the advantages of modifying the bar for extra airflow are minimal unless you are racing, tracking or rallying her .

It's not an airflow issue, it's fitting the pipes. Fabia crash bar is a huge multipart thing. Ibizas is a simple steel "C" in comparison. Can take an angle grinder to the Fabia bar or fit an Ibiza one.
