VCDS/OBD11 : AUDI engine coding on 1.5TSI Octavia III

Featured Replies

Hello everybody.

Has anyone made the so called "Audi mod" or "Throttle mod" by coding the ENGINE ECU, byte 0 (Hersteller data) to Audi ?

I read some topics that some had done this but had troubles with the Cruize Control.

I also have the Cruize Control not working. Also get an error in the ABS module that the coding of Engine ECU is not correct:

I tried the Audi throttle coding on my 1.4 TSI Octavia III and had exactly the same fault codes, to me it seemed that the changed ECU coding made it look for different CAN messages from the other modules such as ABS so I reverted back to the standard coding.

I wouldn't bother with the Audi coding mod. You can code the throttle to change it from incremental to direct. That gives you the sports mode throttle in all profiles if you have the profile button. If not it just changes it to sports throttle.
