Just a side issue......how hard would it be to bring an original series 1 olympic back up to roadworthiness?

Obviously, depends on it's condition., but given that it seems to be able to take fairly standard BMC/Ford bits.......

Guess it depends how close to original you wanted it to be - would imagine there would be plenty of engines which could be fitted in one...

Hardest bit I could think would be if the body needed any work doing, as you'd need to find someone with the appropriate moulds...

not as hard as all that - the original moulds are in the care of the Rochdale Owners Club....

Still, it's all academic now. I misinterpreted an Olympic sitting in the back of a barn surrounded by tons of other parts from more recent vehicles as being "surplus to requirements" but turns out the owner of it isn't for letting it go, despite it being unused for some time.

Shame.

Looks like i might have to save up for the Hellcat instead....:rolleyes:
