I was driving my MY16 Octavia SE Sport and this component dropped onto my clutch foot.
Anyone know what it is ?  It is threaded.

How ironic that it is a "securing ring", which obviously isn't that secure !

I had something very similar drop out from the glove box when changing the pollen filter but it was black. I guessed and it put back in where the damper arm fits through, it fitted so there it stays!!
