just bought a 67 plate VRS Estate and am thinking of buying an OBDeleven to alter some things and do diagnostics on the car possibly alter infotainment,

has anyone any experience of using this kit ? are they worth having?

i had Bimmercode when i had a BMW

Worth every penny. I have one and prefer it over vcds as you can keep it in the glovebox incase you need it whilst out.

I think those should be sold with every vw group car as an option! 

 

Joke aside, yes, its super useful thing to have if for nothin else then just to keep an eye on the error codes. But with a bit of research you can get a long way in caring and inspecting your car with that thingy.

can you alter anything on the infotainment? on my last car you could change from Hardman/Kardon to B&O sound set up

The links give the settings required, which can be done by both VCDS and OBD11 Pro
