Anyone got a Superchips remap?

Featured Replies

Has anyone got their car remapped using Superchips? Preferably not set up on the rollers? My local Superchips dealer has offered to remap my vrs for

Hi, i have had a superchips re-map and a K.N. panel filter fitted for about 2 years now with no problems whatsoever. Was 131BHP before and 171BHP after. I have since had a full Milltek exhaust and PD intake fitted but not been on a R.R. so i would like to think its a little bit more now. Hope this helps you a bit. Oh i paid £464 for my map and filter and before and after R.R.

if I were to do it while still in warrenty, i'd be tempted with the superchips map, just because they offer their own warrenty....... out of warrenty I'd prolly go for a CC custom remap :)

This press report might help your decision.

Thanks for the link and the replies :) My main two reasons are that the Superchips comes with a warranty and it's a fairly 'mild' chip. Jabba etc seem quite aggressive and I don't want to wear the clutch etc out too easily or cause any damage to the engine too soon. Anything over 160bhp I'd be happy with tbh, as the car is only small anyway and that's plenty of power for city driving!

After having done a search and reading some of the other threads, my heart is set on the Superchips remap. I pick the car up on Wednesday and will probably drive it for a week before booking it in for the upgrade. However are there any furby users on here who have had any 'bad' experiences with Superchips at all?

Jabba's custom can be tailored to whatever you want....several people have had a clutch friendly map.

Also there's the generic map which is

My Furbie is superchipped and although I am happy with the result there is some thing Missing. I have said this many times on here. I cannot put my finger on it but it feels like the Superchip needs tweaking slightly. The power band stays the same, runs out about 4k revs therefore you neeed to change gear, It would be better if it would go just that little bit more. Try and get a ride in both remapped cars to get a view on both remaps............Hope this helps..Andy...............[ where are you based???? ]

Hi guys thanks for your replies. I thought the Superchips map would raise the rev limit a lil (it did with the Clio) but if it stays at 4k then it doesn't sound too good. After searching on other threads, it sounds as though the guys at Jabba are the ones to see, with a 'mild' map in mind. Will have to wait till end of summer I think, gona ahve to drive the car for a while and see what sort of map I want tailored to my driving style.

P.S Don't know if it's already been done but maybe a sticky about the remaps available along with their pros and cons might be a good idea?
