Hello 

 

I did about 156km and two hours driving with no single issue.

 

Plus 40 minutes of driving AT NIGHT with al lights on (the first day the pulley got broken) plus one day witout using the car.

I stop to sleep because was getting dark and i didn't wanted to turn on the lights, the owner of the small hotel we found in the road had a charger, so we he charged our battery overnight and then today we complete 97kms more until home. 

 

I am sure that if the battery would have been fully charged at the beginning, i would have complete 250km without any issue.

 

(The advice for disconnecting the steering was really helpful, in fact it helped me to diagnose a issue i had i thought  it was the alternator regulator, while  the steering is working the lights fluctuates)

 

Despite all that, it was an amazing road  trip  with friends.

 

This next weekend we are going camping  to a reserve which is about 8,000ft above the sea.

Extra spare tires, compressor, and traction ramps in the check list.

I knew it would be close but having the overnight charge and unbolting the PAS fuse made the difference ! 

 

Well its the first time that range anxiety was experienced in an internal combustion car !

I will upload videos later, we went there for vacations to skate and eat a lot lol. 

 

The car felt so agile and light without compressor alternator and pump, honestly  was delightful  to drive it.

Hi guys, an update, the car gave me 230kms on battery and 3/4 of them with LED fog lamps and hazard lights on.

(The car broke the belt tensor again)

 

at the end of the trip, the car shut down power to windows, locks, the dashboard was freeze and the engine had a weird clacky noise when coming from the injection pump when accelerated over 2k rpms.

 

i did 10kms in that state (the weird sound of the engine)  mostly coming, do you thing serious damage could have come from that?
