Question for ŠKODA Superb TDI owners...

Do you have the silver heat reflective material on your under-bonnet insulation as per the picture below (which is my B8 Passat Alltrack for reference)...???

If possible, could you please post a picture for comparison.

Pretty sure that is a no, certainly not on mine or a few others here that have done various insulation jobs. 

I applied some though.

Thanks for your response. I like what you have done, however that was not what I was looking for.

I just wanted to see if the TDI version had the silver heat reflective material on the under-bonnet insulation as per the Passat (so from the factory - Genuine part).

What have you used ?

hi what does the foil actually do for the engine.

the reason there is foil in this specific spot is that appears to be EGR pipe in that corner of the engine bay and it's to prevent the insulation from catching fire
