Terminal 50 - starter not turning

Featured Replies

After many hours of troubleshooting, I'm now at a loss.  I can't start my car due to an unknown electrical issue.

I have replaced fuses in the dash and engine bay, checked the three relays behind the dash gauges, I have spent hours tracing wires with a multimeter and even replaced the starter motor unit.  When trying to crank the car, the starter does not turn, the battery does have charge, and I even substituted a spare battery in to rule out that issue.  Any suggestions to get this issue resolved would be great.

I have attached the OBD11 readout below:

you have remembered to press the clutch pedal fully down when trying to start (assuming manual transmission)?

@TheFozzyto me as a NON-expert your trouble codes (not that you should ever just rely on raw error codes) suggest that a sensor is not sending information, or it's not being received, perhaps because the sensor is faulty or broken or a connection or wire or program from it to any computer or its program is faulty or broken.  Combining with john510's post, is that sensor at the clutch pedal (I don't know btw).

Terminal 50 is the output from the ignition switch to operate the starter.

I would start at the ignition switch & check you have an electrical signal leaving the switch when turned to the start position.

From there I would guess it goes to a relay, then on to the started solenoid, but you will need a circuit diagram.
