Featured Replies

hi guys. bought a RNS 510 head unit today, it power up, radio work, bought an gps antena for sat nav, but cant conect my phone to blutooth. do I need to get any blutooth adaptor?

Did your car have Bluetooth before installing the unit? If no you need a Bluetooth module.

My car is fabia mk2 61 reg, I had swing unit without bt.

RNS 510 does not have bluetooth built in, as mentioned you need the seperate module and associated wiring and microphone.

Hi.

As someone who was in a similar dilemma, you may find it cheaper to get a top of the line (£500+) aftermarket unit, with wireless android auto/carplay and all the fancy adapters for cameras/sensors/speed camera radars, than to fully adapt an official VAG group radio (unit, harness, bluetooth unit, maybe even vcds coding).

If you want the perfect fit factory look, go ahead. If you want something more modern and capable for less total money, maybe shop around a bit

Hello I have a Fabia II 2009 / everything is on K-line in this car. I have no CAN-bus communication for one or another reason.

Car came with aftermarket crappy "Pioneer" head unit. I would like to "upgrade" to 5J0035161D - Skoda Swing. Would you please help me understand if its a "plug and play" or the unit is CAN-bus only? After all K-line and CAN-bus are at play or not?

I have VAGcom v21 so if coding is needed it's doable...

Thanks a lot for your input! I would like to have factory view.
