Hi, I am looking to replace the 3rd brake light set (stopped working). Just wanted to check, I do definitely need to remove the boot-door trim to do this? 

 

Do I need to remove the lower boot-door trim to get the upper section off, of can you just remove the upper part of the trim? 

Meant Rear* light replacement

More likely to be broken wires where they come from the body to the hatch.

Hi, funnily enough I've just repaired mine. It was a broken wire in the gaiter on the left hand side & yes you do need to remove the lower part of the trim first. There are two torx screws for the upper part of the trim hidden behind the lower.
