Losing the will to live here..

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Been a while since i posted due to the weather being crap but in this instance i have a Q that needs answering.

I keep getting white smoke/steam/whatever coming out the exhaust, originally i thought it was condensation however this smoke or steam dont stop regardless of engine temp or outside temp..

I dont think its HG as im not loosing coolant but i've got no clue what it could be

I've read somewhere that it can be caused by a faulty CTS, which i know i have, but i fail to see how a faulty CTS could cause the white smoke?

Any help would be appreicated.

OK, this might sound like odd questions, but does it smell of burnt engine oil? Has the car started using (more) oil around the same time?

the car smells quite burn-y after ive given it abit of death, but not so different to other 20vt cars ive owned, no smell that ive noticed whilst driving it normally though

Most likely not turbo oil seals then, but always good to check.
