Replacing D1S bulbs

I’ve decided to replace the front bulbs not knowing how old they are with the Osram night breakers. God knows how long the bulbs have been in but thought if I was going to change may as well do it before the lighter nights.

I'd be interested to see how you get on with these bulbs. I've just bought a set myself and plan on fitting at the weekend.

I'll also try and give the projector lens a clean as best I can through the bulb hole, as on my old Octavia that made quite a difference as how much light was output.

wow what difference, the others were really naff and past their sell by date by the looks of it. I wasn’t expecting much but wow everything is bright now, I can even see the sides of the road much brighter, and can see the lights moving left and right a lot more now.

so glade I bothered to change them now as they’re not cheap.

Ok so I fitted mine this morning. I also gave the inside of the projector lens a clean with a bit of kitchen roll wrapped around the end of a thin stick.

I could see a thin layer of dust being cleaned off the lense as I was doing it so that will make some difference.

Instantly I could see the new lights were brighter against the wall, even in daylight.
