Replacing Front Left Ventilation Grill

Featured Replies

I recently was driving my 2012 Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI and a piece of debris knocked out the plastic front left ventilation grill, I've ordered the replacement part and was just wondering how easy it is to replace/install? Would you need to take the front bumper off? How would you remove the remnants of the damaged part? Is it just clipped in? Ive attached a photo of it  and I'd appreciate any help as I'm a bit of a noob.

It just clips in.  Gentle application of a hair dryer can make the plastic more amenable if the weather is cold.

Nice, thank you for the reply, I’ll give it a go! Out of interest would you take the bumper off if you were doing a job like this??

Not unless there's some other reason, such as damage to the bumper cutout for the vent that can't be reached from in front.

Take a look HERE for the parts catalogue and diagram.  It may help you visualise the job.
