Skoda octavia 1.6 tdi engine rattle

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a Skoda octavia mk3 1.6 tdi manual, it’s done 120,000 miles I’ve had a full service and after the service I’ve noticed a loud rattle from the engine the rattle seems to be in sync with the revs.

I’ve taken it to mechanics and they can’t seem to diagnose the problem.
(the engine oil I used was mobil 1 esp fully synthetic 5w30)

Anyone know what the problem could be ?

Thanks

Post a file of the noise.

Did they replace the cambelt?
