Roomster requires some additions and help

Featured Replies

Hi

I have owned car for 6 years and it’s the 2012 SE Plus 1.6 TDI

the fault I have is the button on the centre console for unlocking or locking all doors does not work would this be a faulty switch or a fuse

also I was thinking of selling the car as it does not have Sat Nav Media Player and Cruise Control and Front Fog lights but after seeing a Scout in same year with these additions then would the connections be there in waiting

or could any of these items be added or retrofitted as I am quite attached to my Basic CR SE Plus which now looks more like a Black Edition with its modifications

Nice car!

To try and answer one of your questions;

Satnav stereo - I fitted a VW RNS310 to my 2007 Roomie Scout which was canbus 1.6 (like early T5's) so although it worked perfectly with 32gb of music on an SD card and the nav disc in the CD slot it wouldn't show navigation directions on the maxidot because of the canbus compatibility however, I think the later versions are 2.0 so a similar unit may fully integrate - you may just need a new stereo surround and a plug in fakra GPS module. It's great upgrade.

Cruise and fog lights came fitted to my Roomie as standard, I just never used them!

So sense make it does

Looking good, don't sell it if you don't have too.

Got to admit, cruis control was the best thing I had on mine, think about getting it retro fitted.

I still use Tom-tom on my Octavia.

Can you lock / unlock the doors with the remote? If you can then the central locking switch fuse is okay and it probably is the central locking switch or the wiring from the switch to the central locking module.
