The door open light is staying on but all doors and boot are closed. Could this be linked to a dodgy wiring loom as I know there are issues with it, or is it more likely to be a door lock sensor problem? Dashboard display shows red open door symbol and briefly a square clock with the number 17. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks 

 

It could be either really, the loom or the lock, more testing is needed.

Could also be dodgy connectors in the window motor surprisingly. Mine had the door open fault intermittently but it hasn't returned for a year now since i applied the fix below:
