Swing infotaiment wiring

Featured Replies

Hello. I am new here, and my English is not so well. Sorry about that.

I have read most of this forum, but i couldn't find anything about connecting-wiring two more speakers. I dont want to change meda. I want to add two more speakers, on rear doors.

i found on the YT, vcds coding, and I did that. Infotainment itself added fader and balance. Thats ok.

i have pull out a media, and tested-checked wires...

Cirkled-marked (yellow), are speakers. I have found that all 8 pin's are "+". There is no ground  or "-".

Four wires in the middle are front speakers and twitters in front doors. Blank ones, are rears. I have added four more wires. I have bought two more speaker, and I installed them in rear doors. I have took a "+" from media, and "-" (ground), from rear electrik-power windows. That is working, but sound is not good. It's awful.

First of all, it is too quiet (front are more powerfull). And, it has weird noise. Like alternator in old cars with bad ground connection. I could not explain. I have disconnect  rear speakers.

Could (can) anyone help me? Where can i find wiring scheme, or some guide?

Sorry on my English. It is not my native. I am from different part of Europe :)

Thanks

Both ends of the speaker need to be connected to the headunit!

Do not connect the speakers to the cars ground...

On my media, both are "+".  both are a phase. i'm afraid to connect like that.

In my case, all 4 blank (i have put wires now) connections are "+" 1 and 3 are "stronger" + (phase), 2 and 4 are "+" (phase) as well, but weaker (feeble).

If i put one of them, no matter, anyone, on + of speaker, and "-" of speaker i put on groud it will work. It makes sound.

I hope you can uderstand. There is a  language barrier :)

I understand what you have done. It is wrong. The speakers should not be connected to the car ground.

Speakers always need two wires back to the amplifier or radio that's powering them.

You can see on the factory wiring diagram both speaker wires go back to J794 which is the headunit.

Please wire the speakers as I have shown, check the +/- terminals on the speakers match:

I'll try tomorrow. thanks for the advice and help 🙂

That's the way it works 😀

The sound is as it should to be.

My speakers are cheap, and i need to buy another ones. I have bought kenwood KFC-S1766, but sound quality isn't that good. I've tried my old pioneer (6x9), much better sound quality.

Thanks a lot 👍

Hello,

for area B of the Quadlock plug, can someone help me with details about the microphone?

I want to connect an Android Car Play and I need to identify which are the microphone pins (+,-) and also the pin for supplying the microphone with current. I understood that the Skoda microphone is supplied with 5-8v current in order to function correctly. Can you help me with some information?

???

If you have an Android phone then it's Android Auto.

If you have an Apple phone then it's Apple Car Play.

no, is android car play.... for me , for example is DUDU 7 from Mekede.

i need information for connect stock microphone from skoda to DUDU7. I understand microphone is electret....and need power...but i don't know what pin need powered.

Sorry for my poor English

Stock microphone only has two wires.

It's an active microphone using 'phantom power'. Basically the OEM headunit applies voltage to the two wires to power the microphone and then uses the same two wires for signal back.

You might want to look at this thread:

There is no such thing as Android Car Play, as I have already described!

Thank you, i read...

I think can use for connect to actual microphone. remove microphone from this module and connect directly wire from mic from skoda.

What do you think?

on gnd and out connect mic + and mic - and vcc - 5 volt from adapter 12volt to 5 volt.

See the image posted by langers2k, pins B1, 2, 7 &8 are the microphones.

i have 2 microphone? and this is same with skoda ocatvia 3 2016 ?

The Aliexpress listings for a DUDU7 all show a mic included... I would suggest you use that )

i prefer use mic from my car. and i don't receive mic with dudu7

i understand original mic is more better

You probably have one mic on B1 and B7 - take a look at your quadlock to see which pins are present.

I have no idea what that purple module is but I wouldn't use it...

The Dudu7 has digital noise cancellation which will be tuned for their own microphone so I really would suggest using that if possible. If it didn't come with one, contact your seller and ask why.

If you really want to use the OEM mic, then you'll need to wire it as described in the other thread to power it.

should it have been included in the package?
