Custom Factory Uprated Spec PU Top Mounts For The Favorit - Felicia Based Vehicles

Featured Replies

Dear fellow forum members,
I am proud to introduce you to my Custom PU top mounts for the Favorit - Felicia based vehicles.
We all know that the top mounts of our cars are a weak link and they collapse frequently, thus the opportunity was taken to develop a direct fitting replacment made of much higher quality materials.

Available in THREE + ONE different hardness ratings.
60 ShA (Slight upgrade over the factory)

90 ShA (For sport use)

70 ShD (For RACE ONLY applications)

80 ShD (ONLY FOR TRACK builds with appropriate reinforcments - pretty much a solid top mount)

Now you need to tell us what they are made of and how do they compare with the reliability of the factory ones.

By the way, all rubber parts fail quick because they are made in China, regardless of the fancy package they are sold in.

The highest quality polyurethane resins,

It is all about pollution. Rubber industry is highly pollutant. China has no issues with pollution, yet. So almost all polluting industries are outsourced to China.

I think that Rubena (the original supplier) still makes rubber mounts locally in original quality (for roughly the same price as the Chinese parts), some brands might still use them.

You can identify them by this logospacer.png

Well they weren't so strong from the factory. 55 ShA if I'm not mistaken

Stiffness doesn't equal durability, Chinese rubber is stiff as hell and doesn't last either 😀 but the original mounts atleast provide some noise insulation.

Correct but the more you cause the rubber to flex the faster it deteriorates

@Thefeliciahacker

Any update on how these are lasting during usage, and over time?

Hi, I don't have long long term tests results but still going strong at 5000k.

Some laboratory tests I did, proved that although abrasion resistance is top notch, compressive strength of the 60ShA ones is lacking, I'm working on fixing that, but university studies doesn't even allow me to have spare time for petting my kitty

I can recommend only the 75ShA and the 90ShA ones currently the 60ShA need more development time.

It was just that I have worn through another set of top mounts in 18months and about 5000 miles. I was thinking that I am getting sick of changing them, then I remembered about this topic.

Do you need some, I can cast them if you so desire?

I've made up a refurbished set of front strut assembles now, but not yet fitted them, so it's not too late to change the mounts.

So would be interested.
