Skoda fabia catalytic converter

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I got 2 catalytic converters from a skoda fabia 1.4 16v 2005 bky engine I wanted to sell it but there is no oem number on it apart from 542-013x which people say it doesn't exist on the catalytic converter database. I have sanded the rust off to see if I can see any oem numbers but only found the ones I mentioned above anyone with any idea

It'll be one of the numbers here, depending on chassis number, and manual/auto gearbox:

Will you send me 10% of what you make? :wondering:

Might be aftermarket though if there are no VW group logos anywhere to be seen, in which case it's probably worth about £5 for both bits.

It looks like the second one you sent me but unfortunately can't find any numbers on it apart from the ones I said earlier but I did email a company which I later realized was in America anyway sent the pics and told them it got no number on it they still valued it at $20 for the small one and $263 for the big one. I think i need to sand them till they shiny incase there is numbers hiding underneath somewhere and yea of course you can have 10% 👍👍

I'll dig out some photos in a bit of one I got fixed with a new flexi. Can't remember if there are any markings visible but the shapes may show similarities/differences.

Hmm, the shape of both bits looks quite different to me, making me think that what you have there probably is aftermarket, hence the lack of useful markings (and value).

Ok thanks and I did here somewhere that even some original catalytic converters don't have oem numbers on them but I'm no expert

Not good news then I did speak to the previous owner who bought the car brand new and never changed the exhaust he only replaced the flexi part with a universal one
