There have been posts complaining about the driver's seat being uncomfortable for many people, even though others find it quite comfortable. The discomfort I experience with the standard seat has now become an issue for me. I am wondering if, first of all, anyone has found an alternative seat to replace the one in a 2019 Superb Technology, or, has anyone had the existing seat altered in any way by a car seat trimmer? It seems a shame that the pleasure of driving this great car is spoilt by the driving seat's poor design.

When I first got my car I had the seat in the perfect position, a year later I took it for its service but I stupidly forgot to save my seat position.

 

4 years later I still can’t find the same position I had and get a numb bum after around 2 hours.

 

From my experience the seat can be comfortable but I feel like the electric seat has too many variations.

 

I think I may do baby steps with my seat adjustment and set it completely wrong then adjust 1 setting per day until I can find the sweet spot again, I know it’s there somewhere

Ive never had an issue with mine personally.

 

That being said its an MQB platform car so a golf or passat seat would most likely fit, but again it would be very similar.

Don't carry your wallet in your back pocket, this simple act has solved more numb bum problems than altering the seat.

Too much seat back rake or even too upright a seat back, is another fault but the one that plagues me most is the

front edge of the seats cut into the backs of my knees.

@Elwood38... Is your car manual gearbox or DSG..?  The reason I ask is because over the last two years of struggling with the seat / driving position I have come to the conclusion that there are several factors at play, including seat shape, seat position relative to the pedals (laterally and if you have a clutch pedal the forwards/backwards too), and even the seatbelt alignment has an effect in my opinion.
