unfold mirrors after start ignition?

Featured Replies

Hello, mirrors unfold everytime I unlock kodiaq. Any way to unfold mirrors after start ignition? Maybe Via obdeleven/vcds?

Kodiaq 2020.

Can anybody write steps to do that?

Thank you.

Fold in before getting out using mirror switch on door, and they won’t unfold when unlocking.

I dont want tu manual fold mirrors.

In superb if I lock car, mirrors fold. If I unlock, nothing happens. Unfold is active after start ignition. Want this feature in kodiaq too.

Those two statements seem to contradict each other. 😕

As I've read it, they contradict each other because the OP is taking about two different cars?

BRSK - you say you have a 2020 Kodiaq? I've never heard of mirrors operating in such a way but if you have one of the later 2020 models ( the one with the updated steering wheel ) then component protection will limit what you can change.

Are they both same, lock with a remote key, or kessy, or kessy Go

I've always thought that 'unfold with ignition' rather than 'unfold with unlock' would have been better.

My other car does the latter which for me works more intuitively.

There have been a few times where I've been in and out of the car two or three times in quick succession (I'm getting old and forgetful!) and thought that the three unfolds and folds were uneccessary.

A few times in the winter months where it's rained and then frozen overnight, having to listen to the ice cracking and the motors straining.

On the other hand... if the mirrors are out, it's unlocked. If the mirrors are in, it's locked. Easy visual clue which I like and stops me pressing the lock button 'just in case' (as I used to when I had cars without folding mirrors).

I’ve never used auto-fold with many cars. Crazy.

Totally unnecessary in my world. Not built to last the lifetime of the car. And as for the icy starts.

And when parked in tight spots I may not want them unfolding.

Once in a blue moon I enjoy manual folding - usually when parked on the street for some strange reason.
