Corroded Brakes - TSB?

Featured Replies

I have been through and read up a few threads on the early degradation and corrosion of brakes 😶

Now just coming to 50k service and MOT, although brakes appear to stop the car OK I feel they will be a fail😒

Škoda currently list rear brakes, discs and pads @ £370🤨

Independents likely to be cheaper 🤑

But did I note correctly there is a TSB for rear brakes? If so what does it say and how might it affect my decision?

Cheers all.

If you’re at 50,000 miles the tsb will not apply to you at all.

thats a decent bit of life out of them.

£370 is an absolute con! Go to an independent and ask for pagid, probably half the price

You will definitely get it cheaper at an indy.
From memory the Brembo rears for mine are around £80, they are coated and have black painted hubs too.

I took brembo discs along with me for my local Skoda dealer to fit along with genuine pads.

They’ll just say it’s a wear and tear item so not worth the hassle imo
