O2 sensor for Octavia 1 1.6L petrol

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My Octavia 1 is 1.6L model 2003 petrol wagon. I am looking for the part number for the O2 sensor, knowing that it has only 1 sensor upstream before the catalytic converter.

Thank you

Engine code would be useful for narrowing down the possibilities. It'll be one of the item 12 selection here, which you will see, are different depending on engine code in the 5th, 'data model' column of the table.

View on a computer not a phone to be sure of seeing the full table, view the relevant link in my signature if 'engine code' is a mystery term to you.

That's not your engine code, but I may be able to figure out what it is from that part number. Hang on while I look.

Your engine code is either AEH or AKL, your oxygen sensor should be part number 06A906262AK.

Thanks Pete ... your are great 🙏🙏.

I meant my engine control code, not the engine code .. my mistake 😬😬. How can I know my engine code? Is it written somewhere on the engine? Or i can found it using VCDS scanner?

Thank you again

Is there a sticker on top of the cambelt cover? Or one in/near the spare wheel well. A photo of either of those would show it.

Is there a difference if the transmission is auto or manual, or is it the same sensor for both?

Same for both according to that ETKA page.
