Small judder to left when braking at slow speeds

Featured Replies

My 05 skoda fabia automatic 1.4 is in excellent condition.  Low mileage regular services. Passed Mot with flying colours 2 months ago. No adviseries. Few days, ago braked at low speed to park and felt what seemed like a judder or even micro skid to left on tiny patch  of oil.  Did it again several times same day and next day Had been thinking brakes did not seem to be quite as sharp as usual. So took it into garage today.  Guys have been all over it. All brakes in excellent condition.  Diagnostics report no engine or braking errors  Garage experienced with range. Mystified. Will try test run themselves tomorrow. Meanwhile anyone experienced this?

It sounds like the ABS is kicking in unnecessarily, possible causes can include an intermittently failing wheel speed sensor, uneven tyre wear or even a dodgy wheel bearing, different sized tyres can also do it.

Yeah, it's the exact symptoms mine had with a failing ABS wheel sensor.
