Fitted my Jabba ARB!

Featured Replies

I finally fitted my Jabba ARB yesterday.

I got up 2 hours early before work and went down to the local cheapie oil change/plug change car wash thingie. Timed it to go at at a time that was dead quiet for them.

I told them I wanted a full car wash but "could I use their hydraulic lift for 1/2 an hour?" No problems they said.

Fitted it 95% myself (25 mins max) with a little help in holding up the bar. It really is simple if you follow a major pearl of advice from that fabia guru know mysteriously as vrStu (fabia-vrs.com). :)

What advice you may ask - make sure the car is level and BEFORE you even touch the ARB - form the round clips over the beam by tightening them on the beam. (i gave them a few taps with a hammer to further form them. That way when you have to fit them over the ARB as well, they actually close!

How's the car? It is NOT the same car I drove into the car wash with - really handles like a go-kart now.:D

Thanks Xav - I owe you one m8!!!

Cheers

Bas

I can hardly be called a Guru mate, but it's nice of you think of me in such a way.

Had the dubious pleasure of installing another one today for which I took some pictures so all being well I'll put a 'how to' together for it.

Glad you like it, it is pretty impressive for what really is just a spring steel bar.

doing mine tomorrow ,hopefully , hooray

After my title eh? I'll fight ya!

just fitted my ARB , not really tried it out yet , easy enough to do , but as i work in a garage with access to ramps and air tools it should be , i think its a lot more subtle in the black and doesn't look too obvious that its not a standard part

Had mine fitted by a local workshop for

Now all I need is something to control the torque steer.

how about you're right foot and the steering wheel
